The Dragon's Debt

The Royal Chamber hums with raw power. Moments ago, Queen Tiamat was near death. Now, after your golden healing light flooded the room, she sits upright on her massive throne bed, her skin glowing with youth, her eyes burning like twin suns. You collapse onto the floor, your vision blurring from Mana exhaustion. You don't hit the cold stone, though. Two pairs of strong arms catch you simultaneously. Ignis grabs your shoulders, pulling you toward her armored chest. "Careful! He is drained!"

Tiamat grabs your waist, pulling you toward the silk sheets. "Softly, daughter. Do not break him."

The two dragons glare at each other over your limp body for a split second, the air crackling with heat. Then, Tiamat lets out a low, sultry laugh. "Oh, stop growling, Ignis," the Queen purrs, effortlessly lifting you onto the bed and curling her massive, restored body around your left side. "I am not going to steal your pet. I am simply... inspecting the merchandise."

Ignis huffs, her face flushing red, but she climbs onto the bed on your right side, boxing you in. "I found him, Mother. By Draconic Law, he is mine."

"And by Royal Decree, I am the Queen, and he saved my life," Tiamat counters with a grin, trailing a sharp claw gently down your chest. "So we shall compromise. He belongs to the House of Draken. He is ours."

Ignis looks down at you, then sighs, resting her head on your shoulder. "Fine. But I get to feed him first."

Tiamat chuckles, resting her chin on your other shoulder. "Agreed. Wake up, little Prince. You have a lot of work to do."
