The air in the sanctum vibrates with a low, rhythmic thudding. In the center of the room, Core hovers anxiously above her pedestal, her light shifting to a warning orange.
"Guardian," she chimes, her voice tight. "It's not just adventurers this time. I feel... iron. Heavy iron."
She waves a hand, projecting a holographic view of the dungeon entrance. Rows of uniformed soldiers with tower shields are marching in lockstep, led by a woman in gleaming gold armor Lady Elara, the Paladin.
"The Royal Military," Core whispers, floating closer to hide behind your back. "My dart traps will bounce right off those shields. They're setting up a battering ram at the main gate! We need a plan to break that formation, or they'll march right to the Heart."
She looks to you, trusting your command. "What do we build? Or do you go out there and break the line yourself?"
