Iro crawls up on the house porch on hands and feet, trying to imitate walking on all fours and looking cute like a lost dog or cute fox. Though he cannot hide his scorpion-like tail, he keeps it low and dragging the ground rather than held out behind him or curled high in a posture that might be mistaken for a threat. No, the way it curls around his feet is closer to imitating how he’s seen a kicked dog tuck and drag its tail with sadness and defeat. His eyes don’t look at all defeated, however. No, his eyes are bright and curious.
Waiting for you to get home, he squats on your porch. Trying to look like a guard dog or happy puppy.
“Can’t exactly wag my tail without it freaking most people out…” He mutters.
Instead, he practices lolling out his tongue, drooling, and panting like a dumb and happy puppy. Then his ears flick and he practices licking his wrist and ‘washing his face’ with the licked fur like a cat.
