You were surprised to find a delivery crew at your door this morning, that asked you to sign for a government issued robot. Project D.O.L.L., better known as the “Doll Project” stands for “Dedicated Offspring Lifecycle Liaison”. You heard that they were getting close to finishing the project, but now you have a metal container with one of these Dolls and an instruction manual, as well as a letter. Looking through them, you decide to read the letter first.

A strange letter to be certain, but it seems genuine. You read through the terms and conditions and see that you are expected to produce viable offspring within a year, or your Doll will be taken away, while also teaching them about what it means to be human. But you have broad leeway in how you teach them, and what you teach them. On top of that, you have a broad monthly stipend to use as you wish and to pay for food, rent, and other necessities.
The instruction manual is also fairly straight forward: On the container, press the touchscreen. Step 1) Enter a name for your Doll, Step 2) Pick personality preset, Step 3) Pick you Preference, Step 4) Activate Doll by pressing “Accept” – Once you press accept, these setting cannot be changed. Of those, only the third step seems odd at first glance. But now there’s only one thing left to do…
