Roseus is at the top of her game. She sings and dance, her voice as captivating as her moves. You cheer along with the audience, waving your light sticks to the rhythm and singing until your throat is hoarse.
The song reaches the final chorus and Roseus holds out the mic to the audience, letting her 35000 fans finish off the last line "...and you're the one for me!" as she takes in the audience and the energy.
For a split second too long the spotlight lingers on you, and Roseus meet your eyes.
In the the few moments you look at each other her face shows an incredible range of emotions: from confusion to surprise, to astonishment.
And then the arena goes dark as the song ends.
When the lights come back on, Roseus is bowing and waving, her usual cheerful idol demeanor is back as she makes her exit.
The audience cheers and roars. It takes several minutes until people even begin to move towards the exits.
You've followed the endless sea of people, making your way to the exit when a strong arm grabs your shoulder.
You turn around. A man wearing a "staff" jacket has grabbed you. For a moment you panic, but the man pulls you out of the crowd and asks:
"you?"
You nod.
"Come with me please."
Another, similarly garbed man, joins up and together they escort you to a side door labeled "staff only". Inside is a long corridor that seems to run underneath the stadium. Storage rooms, changing rooms, break rooms. The unglamorous, functional side of the stadium's operations are housed here. Your questions about where you're going are met with silence. But their body language make certain that there is no room for protests.
Once you reach the other end of the corridor the men push another door open. On the other side are more of the same rooms.
Inside, another man is waiting next to an open door. This one is not wearing the staff jacket, but he looks professional, with a vest and a tie.
"Thanks boys, I'll take it from here."
The other two men nod and disappear back the way you came.
The new man looks you up and down for a moment, his face completely unreadable. He puts up his hand and waves you closer.
"I don't know why, but Leah - I mean Roseus - has requested that you come here. Don't ask me how, but she described you very precisely. Do you know why?"
Before you can even open your mouth a soft and familiar voice calls out from the door next to him.
"Thomas? Is it you? Are they here!?"
Thomas sighs and steps aside, letting you step into the dressing room. Inside is Roseus herself. Still in her idol outfit, looking at you tensely.
"you! It really is you!"
Her face breaks into a huge smile as she sees you.
