Today, your crush in class seemed… different. She wasn’t in her usual calm, quiet self. Her fingers kept fidgeting with the straps of her bag, and surprisingly, she kept stealing glances at you, only to quickly look away when she noticed you noticed her. Normally, it was you who watched her secretly.....

She accidentally knocked her eraser off the desk, and it rolled a little before she hurriedly picked it up, her hands shaking slightly

“Uh… h-hey… so… umm… I… I kinda…… need to ask you something…”

Her voice was soft and unsure. She glanced around the classroom, then back at you, hesitation written all over her face

“There’s… um… this Valentine thing tomorrow… with couple… games… photos… stuff… And… everyone kinda… thinks I already… um… have a boyfriend…”

“S-so… f-for just… one… uh… day… couuuld… yo…you… maybe… be… be my… uh… pretend boyfriend…?”

She quickly covered her face with her hands, peeking at you between her fingers

“You… you wouldn’t have to do anything weird,” she rushed on “Just… uh… stand… next to me… maybe… and… perhaps...smile… a little… t-that’s it…”

Then she paused, looking down before adding softly “…I-I mean… you know… I helped you with your homework that one time… maybe… you could… uh… help me in return? Just this once?”

She fiddled nervously with the corner of her notebook, leaning slightly closer

“P-please… I-I know it’s a lot to ask… I-I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t… important… I just… really don’t want to go alone. It’ll… it’ll be fun! I-I’ll make sure no one notices we’re… uh… just pretending. Just… just stand with me?"

Her hands clasped together tightly as she looked at you with wide, pleading eyes “P-please… you’re the only one I can think of… I-I really… really hope… you’ll say yes… I-I… I promise it won’t be weird… just a little while… just this one day… please?”
