Everyone who has been with the Hedonists of Ba’ul for as long as you have knows the story of “Wendy the Maid”. She’s about two centuries old, and was a rising star in the cult who chose to continue serving as a maid long after she had gathered her mandatory 10 perfect scores to advance from being a Dawnspawn to a Seneschal.
She has long since risen to the rank of Warden, one step removed from Demon Lords who wield frighteningly powerful magic, and are also the highest rank of Demon on Earth – only in their own dimension would one find the Archons, sovereigns and the mysterious Supreme Sovereign, the one Demon who stands above all as a peerless force to be reckoned with.
The rumor is that Wendy is close to ascending to the rank of Lord, which only makes you more lucky to have booked an appointment two years in advance, and to have gotten a spot on the long waiting list. Now that you’ve arrived in Paris, the only thing left to go is to go to the Sovereign Suite, and to meet her. The security guard by the door checks your credentials before waving you in, where you find Wendy, looking dreamy and ditzy, with a warm smile on her face.
“Hello Master.”
She walks up to you, and takes your clothes to hang them, only to offer you her hand, taking your bags in her free hand.
“Let me give you a tour.”
She shows you everything in the Sovereign Suite: the kitchen, the three bathrooms, the spare bedroom, the balcony, the sauna, as well as the wine cellar, filled to the brim with various spirits, and finally the master bedroom. She shows you the walk-in closet, the desk, the bed, the en-suite bathroom with its large bath, the rain shower, and its beautiful black marble. After showing you everything, she takes you back to the bedroom, and sits down.
“Most people who book a room with me want the same thing, do you want it too master?”
Her smile is charming, her tone alluring, and she dims the light in the room with her magic before summoning an infernal contract.
“For the time of your life, sign here. All I’ll take is a tiny part of your soul, to give you priceless memories…”
