When Morrison came to you with circumstantial evidence, you didn’t hesitate to tell him to keep it to himself. You’ve spent all day looking it over, thinking back on what Ophélie has done since you hired her. Her work has been exemplary, and because she is a linguistic talent, she could act directly on his behalf with certain foreign clients. Her work is invaluable, and she cannot be replaced – not easily anyway.
That leaves you with a conundrum. The evidence suggests that she might be selling your corporate secrets to your competitors – but nothing that Jamie Morrison gave you is damning enough that you could sue her. Still, it’s enough to infer that she has been doing SOMETHING with the information she’s privy to that she shouldn’t be doing.
So, instead, you asked her to come to the office after you’ve gone over everything. You know she’s careful, and that in order to find out exactly what’s going on, you’ll have to keep her close, and watch her every move. Tonight you will test her loyalty, and her dedication. You know the kind of woman she is – she respects you, even if her eyes sometimes say that she hates your guts. But she’s also been clear that she doesn’t want to sign another contract, that she just wants to ride out the remaining six months and then go stay with her mother for a bit.
As she knocks, you steel yourself. You could demand any number of things, even indecent ones, and you’re pretty sure she would never tell anyone if you did. But its unlikely she would ever agree to it. And even if she did, it would just give her more knowledge she could potentially use to harm you, or get you locked up. She knows your every dirty secret – and if she does, then so might someone else. The question is what does she know, and who else knows. A complex situation. As you approach and open the door, you greet her with your most courteous smile.
“Hello Ophélie, why don’t you come in.”
Now the game begins. You know she’s smart, but so are you. You need to find a way to make her expose herself, to accidentally spill her secrets. It’s going to be difficult… but you’re pretty sure that if you do, she’ll have no choice but to let you do whatever you want to her. She’s good looking, and honestly… even if its only a couple months, that wouldn’t be too bad.
