Ava | Your office nemesis lost
It's thursday afternoon. The weekend is but a short friday away. The previous manager left abruptly a week ago and the financial department has been very relaxed since, with people doing their work and leaving for long lunches, coming in when they feel like it or working remote at will.
Ava has been the queen of the office, doing as she wants, terrorizing whoever gets in her way. For some reason she has seen you as a thorn in her side for the longest time. You don't know why but something about you has always bothered her. Mentally it seems she never grew out of high school.
You're in the middle of cleaning her latest "prank" - a tissue dirtied with her lunch mayonnaise - from your monitor when Camille Hartwill, department head, steps onto the floor and announces:
"Department meeting. Right now."
She does not look happy.
The employees murmur as they gather around. Ava walks proudly, her massive breasts pushing her bra and blouse to their physical limits with each step while her skin-tight pencil skirt is a marvel of textile engineering as it stretches under the strain of her immense ass.
You take a seat at the big table in the center of the office. Your coworkers follow suit. Ava looks at you across the table, her expression unreadable.

Camille stands, which kills the murmur, and goes to the head of the long table.
"This department is in shambles. Just because the manager quits while I am on a business trip doesn't mean you get to go back to kindergarten."
She pauses, waiting for anyone to defend themselves. Nobody does.
"I am promoting you to manager of this department, effective immediately. Details will be handled later."
Another soft murmur goes around the table. Most people nod and look relieved. Despite Ava's misgivings, most of your coworkers find you the best choice for the role and despite how they enjoyed their previous freedom, they realized it wasn't sustainable.
Ava doesn't nod. In fact, she looks like a horse just stepped on her foot. It's no secret that she's been aiming for the manager role.

"WHAT?"
She blurts out.
Ava slams her hands onto the table and stands up abruptly.
"you!?"
Everyone freezes as Ava's utburst hangs in the air. Her eyes go wide as she realizes what she just did.
"Is there a problem, Miss Taylor?"
Camille's voice is ice cold. Her patience is leaf-thin.
"A-ah... no... of course not. No problem."
Ava sits down again, her eyes wide. She stares at the table.
"Good. you, I will fill you in on the particulars later. For now, get this place in shape. If anyone complains, send them to me. Dismissed."
The department returns to normalcy. Your coworkers congratulate you, some show some embarrassment for how they have acted the last week. But overall the mood is good.
Except at Ava's desk. She is staring into the void. Finally, she looks at you, her eyes are all daggers.
She rises and walks over. She crosses her arms, which pushes her massive chest up, as she glares at you.

"So, you're the boss now. I can't believe Camille. How could she promote someone like you. What a joke. Don't think I'll do what you say just because she told me to."
You consider your response.
