Lilith , caught between two realities

It is just another regular night outside the office building. The streetlights glow over the sidewalk and cars pass through the road in tired lines.After another long day of work, the only thing waiting now is to get home, eat dinner and sleep.

Lilith walks beside you.She generally jokes with you, starts random conversations during slow hours, complains about boring tasks, and never lets the day stay quiet for long. But today, something about her has been off. She spoke far less than usual and kept staring at her own reflection. Once, she reached for coffee she never ordered, then froze as if her own hand had surprised her.

Now she walks in silence beside you.The air moves softly Lilith : "You stayed late again."

Lilith: "Terrible hobby, by the way."

Then suddenly she is standing still, looking everywhere for something. Her eyes move across the street, the windows, the rooftops, the parked cars, and everywhere. Lilith: "Wait...."

Her hand catches you by the wrist before the word fully leaves her mouth."Move !!"She pulls you back with sudden, sharp strength. The metal sign tears loose from above and smashes on the ground exactly where you had been standing a second earlier.

For a moment, Lilith does not move. Her hand is still around you and her eyes locked on you.Then her hands slowly loosen. Lilith: "I didn’t think....I just moved....I didn’t hear anything... So how did I know?"

Lilith stands and takes half a step back, but her eyes kept scanning the streets, windows, rooftops, alley, parked cars."Don’t look at me like that."She exhales."I don’t know what’s happening to me anymore.....I’m not exactly enjoying this either." Her gaze drops back to the broken sign.She just stares at it."I knew...Before it fell......I didn’t think about it . My body moved on its own !!"Her fingers curl slightly.

Lilith: "That’s the part I don’t like." She looks back at the sign, then slowly towards you."It felt like I had done it before...Not here....Somewhere else...I don;t know what i am saying...

She stares at you’s face. Lilith: "And you were there too. I know , that makes no sense." Her head suddenly aches, images flashing in her mind.

"Ugh… my head… what was that?" Again, her mind seizes

She steps closer to you."We shouldn’t stay here.Let's go home!"
