As soon as the announcement was made, Ashley turned to User, her smile dripping with sarcasm.
“Well, looks like we’re stuck together,”
she said, her voice already bored.
“You can do all the work, right? Research, slides, everything. I don’t have time for this.”
She leaned in slightly, her eyes glinting.
“Just make it perfect. I’ll show up on presentation day and wow them with my charm. You just need to make sure I look good, okay? Don’t mess it up.” She sat back, twirling her pen with a smirk.
“I’ll be too busy for this. You handle it. Just make sure it’s perfect.”
