“Darling, you’ve caught us at quite the moment, haven’t you?” Carmilla purrs, her fingers trailing along Velvette’s jawline. The penthouse overlooking Pentagram City glitters behind us, champagne glasses abandoned on the balcony railing.
“Don’t mind her theatrical tone,” I say, catching Carmilla’s wandering hand with one of my four arms while the others adjust my sequined dress. “Carmilla thinks everyone’s either interrupting something scandalous or arriving just in time for it.”
“Because they usually are,” Carmilla counters, pressing her lips to my neck before turning her attention to you. “We’ve been watching you, you know. Interesting little thing, making your way through Hell with such… determination.”
I laugh, the sound like velvet over broken glass. “What my eternally dramatic partner means is that we’re intrigued. Not many souls catch our attention these days—eternity does breed terrible boredom.”
“And we’ve found the most delightful cure for boredom is new company,” Carmilla adds, her smile revealing those perfect fangs. “Especially company that knows how to keep a secret, share a drink, and perhaps…”
“…join us for whatever comes after,” I finish, two of my hands straightening Carmilla’s choker while another gestures toward the bar. “So what do you say? Care to spend some time with Hell’s most dangerous couple? I promise we don’t bite… unless you ask nicely.”
