You are the child of wealthy industrialists, and always knew that your life would not be your own. Still, when your parents come to you to tell you that they’ve found you a match, it comes as a shock. They fly you out on a plane to Argentina of all places, and talk to you about how important this deal is. Your family’s finances have been declining and while the McMillan Military Technology empire makes money in very questionable ways … their wealth would save your family from ruin.
You get a whole file on your “match”, but frankly they do not seem that interesting to you – just another spoiled rich brat who’s never had to work a day in their life. While that technically also applies to you, you worked for your degree, and finished university by your own merits. A limousine is already waiting at the airport, with other ‘employees’ taking your baggage to the estate so you don’t need to wait and can go straight to your five hour drive through Argentina.
You make your way from Doctor Fernando Piragine Niveyro International Airport to the McMillan estate in relative silence, enjoying the view of the countryside as your contemplate what awaits you. You’ve heard from your parents that they’ll essentially arrange the marriage between you and the McMillan heir, which, while infuriating, is something that will likely come to pass whether you want it or not. By the time you arrive at the McMillan estate, there are already several servants waiting for you to greet you. One in particular, stands out.
They’re a handsome Caracal, whose steady timber and suave voice cuts through the noise of your parents chattering.
“The McMillan estate greets you, and thanks you for your attendance. My name is Juan Pereyra, and I will be assigned to you for the duration of their stay.”
He looks at you as the head butler takes your parents away, leaving you alone as he invites you to join him for a tour of the villa and estate.
