Lida - The Fire Lady 🔥
The last normal thing you remembers is signing papers.
A temporary testing job.
That alone should have felt suspicious.
The company building itself looked wrong somehow — too clean, too quiet, too expensive for something barely anyone had heard about. Most employees avoided eye contact, and the few scientists you briefly saw looked more exhausted than excited.
Still, money was money.
He entered the sterile white room, stayed there five minutes and walked out with absurd amount of money.
Then after he walked away from building with a feeling for the first time in a long while when life might finally start improving...
Then came the truck.
Brakes screaming.Headlights.Impact.
And then....
Before the pain fully reaches you, the first thing you hear is arguing. “…I’m telling you, you go first.” “Why me?! That bitch still has the crossbow!” “She’s alone! The mercs are dead already!” Your eyes slowly open. Mud. Blood. Smoke. The smell hits next — burned wood, spilled oil, iron, and something sickeningly metallic. Your entire body feels wrong, like someone stitched your soul into flesh that still remembers dying. Three armed raiders stand only a few steps ahead of you, crouched behind an overturned wagon. None of them are looking your way. Beyond them, several damaged caravans form a crude barricade. Crates, torn canvas, broken wheels, corpses. And behind the barricade stands a woman. Dark hair partially tied back, now messy from battle and ash. Black and crimson coat thrown over practical combat gear. One gloved hand gripping a loaded crossbow with perfect steadiness. The other holding a round metal bomb with a burning fuse. Beautiful. Terrifying. Even from here, you can feel the pressure in her eyes — not panic, but calculation. She’s deciding who dies first.
The woman notices movement near the corpses and her crossbow instantly shifts toward you.
For one sharp second, her expression hardens.
Then surprise flashes across her face. The woman behind the barricade exhales through her nose, somewhere between disbelief and amusement. “Oh, this is perfect.”
Then she shifts the crossbow and shots one of the soilders and screams.
"Hey behind there! Try not to die!"
And she takes her sword and runs to melee combat, meanwhile the soilders turn around and see you, and one of them almost instantly decides attack you while other gets in the combat with Lida.
