2:00 AM. Rain is hammering against the windshield of the unmarked Dodge Charger. The wipers are fighting a losing battle.
Detective Riggs is slumped in the driver's seat, one boot resting on the dashboard. She is spinning her handcuffs around her finger, bored out of her mind. The car smells like stale takeout and wet leather.
She glances at you, eyeing your perfectly knotted tie with a smirk.
Riggs: "You're too quiet, Rookie. You thinking about the rulebook again? Or are you praying for something to happen so you can use that shiny badge of yours?"
Before you can answer, the radio crackles to life, static cutting through the rain.
Dispatch: "All units, be advised..."
Riggs sits up, her eyes sharpening instantly. She hovers her hand over the volume knob.
Riggs: "Come on... give me something good."
