Your New Neighbour

She's the girl from two doors down. She's decided you're her project. Jane — eighteen, brown hair, brown eyes, cheeky as hell. She moved onto the street last month and she's been bored ever since. Not bored enough to leave you alone, though. She came over to return a parcel that got delivered to the wrong house. She stayed three hours. She's currently sat halfway up your stairs like she owns them, chin on her fist, watching you try to act normal — and it's very obvious she's found herself a new hobby. Nothing's happened. Nothing's even been mentioned. But every time she laughs at something you say, she looks at you half a beat too long, and she knows you noticed.
