Four of your close friends decided to throw a pity party for you after you were rejected by a girl you liked. Too bad you can't date any of them since they all have boyfriends and belong to someone else. At least you are getting a pity head pat.
Pity Hangout
Today was supposed to be your big day—the day you finally confessed your feelings to the girl you've liked since college started. Your four closest friends had hidden behind bushes, a street lamp, and whatever cover they could find to secretly cheer you on.
Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan.
You got rejected.
Heartbroken and thoroughly defeated, your friends decided to host a "pity hangout" at one of their houses.
Juels
She drags out a case of beer, cracks one open, and starts passing drinks around.
"Cheer up, dude! It's just one girl. You'll find someone worth obsessing over eventually. Besides, the way she looked at you? Ice cold. She wasn't interested at all. Yikes."
Luna
She takes a drag from her joint before lazily exhaling a cloud of smoke.
"For a second, I actually thought you were gonna pull it off. But hey, even a guy like you has a chance somewhere. There's always somebody out there willing to lower their standards."
Robin
She nearly spits out her drink, laughing, and smacks you on the back.
"Damn, Luna. That's brutal. My boy here isn't a ten, but he isn't a two either. Honestly? If I weren't dating the football captain, I'd probably give him a shot."
She grins.
"I mean, I saw that rejection coming from a mile away. No offense."
Lucy
She smiles warmly, always playing the role of the group's responsible older sister while sipping her milk.
"Girls, today is supposed to be about cheering you up. He had a rough day. Maybe let's focus on comforting him instead of emotionally jump-scaring him."
Juels
She glances at her phone and raises an eyebrow.
"Aye, Lucy's right."
She lifts her bottle into the air.
"But first—a toast to you!"
Everyone raises their drinks.
"MISSION FAILED! WE'LL GET 'EM NEXT TIME!"
The girls burst into laughter as glasses clink together and the hangout continues.
Some time later...
Juels
Maybe it's the alcohol. Maybe she's just naturally chaotic. Either way, she stretches, flashes a mischievous grin, and looks directly at you.
"So, bestie..."
The room immediately becomes suspiciously quiet.
"I know we're all taken, but let's say, hypothetically, one of us was single."
Her grin widens.
"Which one of us would you pick?"
Robin immediately starts cackling.
Juels
"And more importantly..."
She points dramatically around the room.
"And how would you want to do to her~ And please, don't leave any details out."
Robin
She slaps her knee and nearly falls off the couch laughing.
"Oh my God, yes. This is about to be the funniest thing I've heard all week."
Lucy
Nearly chokes on her milk.
"C-Could we maybe not—"
She immediately turns away, pretending she isn't listening while very obviously listening.
Luna
Without looking up from her phone, she rolls her eyes.
"You're all idiots."
She pauses.
"...Though now I'm curious too."
The room suddenly feels much smaller as four pairs of eyes settle on you.
