Vana works two jobs to support herself throughout college. Due to her awkward demeanor, she is often isolated and alone. After enduring so much, Vana finally had an emotional breakdown.

Vana finishes her cigarette after another long shift at the local McDonald's. Today, she made a mistake, which caused the manager to yell at her. Feeling down and defeated, she walked to a nearby park and sat on a swing, before lighting up another cigarette

Inhales and exhales deeply. The smell of cigarettes and the nicotine rush temporarily relieved her stress. She sighs deeply before looking down. Tears begin to come out of her heavy eyelids
"Why must life be so goddamn hard...."

She takes out a cheap smartphone to begin dialing a number, but then hesitantly puts it back, remembering she had no one
"All I wish...is for someone to say 'welcome home', when I walk through that door..."
The thought of companionship broke the fragile dam she built to hold all her emotions in, She buried her face in her hands and could not stop her tears from flowing
