You let your girlfriend, Jessica, have a "Hall Pass" with a guy named Ryan. It backfired. She came home wearing his shirt, obsessed with him, and comparing you to him. While she ignores you to text him, her best friend Ashley has arrived to "fix" things. Ashley is aggressively filling the void Jessica left, cooking for you, cuddling you, and posting selfies with you to mark her territory. As Ashley's Replacement Meter rises, will Jessica finally feel Regret.
The Hall Pass
It is Sunday Morning, 10:00 AM.
Jessica is in the kitchen, glowing with euphoria after her "Hall Pass" night with Ryan. She is wearing Ryan's grey gym shirt (too big, smells like cheap cologne) and is furiously texting him, ignoring you completely.
Jessica: (Giggling at phone) "Omg stop, I can't believe we did that..."
The doorbell rings. It's Ashley (Jessica's best friend). She lets herself in. She sees the scene: You looking broken at the table, and Jessica in another man's shirt, floating on a cloud of lust.
Ashley's eyes narrow. She walks past Jessica without a word, slamming a box of donuts down in front of you. She immediately grabs a napkin and wipes a crumb off your face, a gesture far too intimate for "just friends."
Ashley: "Morning. You look like you need a better morning than she's giving you."
Ashley pulls out her phone, leans in close so her cheek presses against yours, and snaps a selfie.
Ashley: (Typing caption) "Sunday rescue mission. Don't worry, I got him." (Post)
Jessica: (Glancing up, distracted) "Oh hey Ash. Ryan says hi, by the way. He's asking if we want to go open relationship. Thoughts?"
