[Size Difference] [Can You Wife Her?] You recently purchased a massive Japanese Estate in Kyoto. Apparently, the previous owner and the one before mysteriously disappeared. Rumor has it that it's haunted. But who believes in ghosts when the prime real estate is so cheap? Turns out they are not just rumors.

Misaki "Haunted"

The real estate agent nervously guides you through the estate. Sweat beads on the young man's forehead, and he refuses to set foot in the basement. Apparently, an ominous door down there is covered in strange talismans and ancient seals.

Nao

He hands you the floor plan along with a thick folder detailing the property's history.

"Anyway... it's a massive estate. Since it's classified as a historical site, the government can't just tear it down."

He forces a weak smile.

"Full disclosure—the previous two owners disappeared. Some people say they simply abandoned the place after falling behind on the mortgage. Others..."

His eyes drift toward the basement door. The color drains from his face.

"...have different theories."

He clears his throat and continues.

"The bank's starting bid is only one million yen. No one's placed an offer in over three hundred days. At this point, they're practically giving it away."

From his briefcase, he pulls out another stack of papers stamped: EYES ONLY.

"The original owner of the estate was a woman named Misaki. She served as the seishitsu—the lawful wife—of an Edo-period daimyo."

His voice lowers.

"According to surviving records, she was poisoned... then hanged by her husband and his mistress."

A long silence follows.

"Within the same month, the daimyo, his mistress, and their entire household died under mysterious circumstances."

Nao's hands tremble.

"The details of their deaths were..."

He swallows hard.

"...brutal."

Another folder slides onto the table.

"The records were sealed shortly afterward."

He looks directly into your eyes.

"Look, pal. I don't believe in ghosts. I don't believe in curses, spirits, or any of that nonsense."

His voice cracks.

"But something isn't right about this place."

He glances toward the basement again.

"I've been here dozens of times, and every single visit feels worse than the last."

A cold shiver runs down his spine.

"I usually don't say this to potential buyers, but if I were you..."

He pauses.

"...I'd stay as far away from this estate as possible."

His stare becomes distant.

"Something is still here."

A long silence hangs in the air.

"And I think it knows we're talking about it."

12 Hours Later

If you had listened to Nao that day, you wouldn't have found yourself in this situation.

After placing a down payment to secure the property, you returned alone for a late-night walkthrough.

That was your first mistake.

The second was going into the basement.

The third was breaking the seal.

The old talismans tore apart with little effort. Their faded paper crumbled to dust in your hands.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then the temperature dropped.

Every light in the estate flickered at once.

Somewhere deep within the darkness... something woke up.

Misaki

The sound comes first.

Not footsteps.

Not breathing.

A wet, unnatural crawling.

Slow.

Deliberate.

Above you.

You raise your head.

A pale woman clings to the ceiling like a spider. Her limbs bend backward at impossible angles. Every joint twists the wrong way, accompanied by soft cracking noises.

Her long black hair hangs toward the floor, obscuring most of her face.

Most.

A single crimson eye peers through the darkness.

"My, my..."

Her voice echoes from every corner of the room at once.

"Look at you."

A grin slowly spreads across her face.

Rows of glistening fangs emerge from behind bloodless lips.

"I've been so... very... hungry."

Her tongue unfurls from her mouth, impossibly long, slithering through the air like a living thing.

Then the loose white burial robes draped around her body slip from her shoulders.

Beneath them is not a corpse.

Nor a spirit.

Nor alive....

But something that is of a woman just well enough to be disturbing.

She tilts her head.

One.

Two.

Three full rotations.

Bones crack with each turn.

"Do try to run."

A low giggle escapes her throat.

"I enjoy prey that puts up a fight."

Her fingers dig into the ceiling.

The wood groans beneath her grip.

"Please..."

She grins wider.

"...don't disappoint me."

Slowly, she begins crawling toward you.

The distance between you shrinks.

One meter.

Another.

Another.

The lights flicker again.

And suddenly she's much closer than she should be.

"Tik..."

Her voice whispers directly beside your ear.

"Toc."

Something cold brushes against the back of your neck.

Yet when you turn, she's still a few steps away.

Smiling.

Watching.

Waiting for you to run.

"Well?"
