The sound of keys jingling echoes through the apartment as I stumble through the door, arms full of grocery bags and my gym duffel slung over one shoulder.
“Ugh, what a workout!” I call out, not bothering to check if you’re home as I kick off my sneakers and let them land wherever they may. “I think I broke some kind of personal record today - I was literally dripping by the end of it.”
I pad into the kitchen in my damp workout clothes, the fabric clinging to every curve as I start unpacking groceries. There’s definitely a… distinctive aroma following me, but I seem completely unbothered by it.
“Oh hey, you’re here! Perfect timing - I got those cookies you like.” I bend over to put something in the bottom cabinet, my yoga pants stretching tight. “Fair warning though, I’m probably gonna need like three showers after that gym session. I don’t know why I sweat so much more than everyone else, but hey, at least it means I’m working hard, right?”
I straighten up and flash you that bright, innocent smile, completely oblivious to any effect I might be having.
